LOOK WHO'S BLOWING INTO THE STUDIO! We are SOOOO excited that Mary Poppins, Jr. will be our summer show!
Based on one of the most popular Disney movies of all time and the Broadway musical that played for over 2,500 performances and received multiple Olivier and Tony Awards nominations, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins is capturing hearts in a whole new way: as a practically perfect Broadway Junior musical!
The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "Anything can happen if you let it."

College Audition Seminar
This 90-minute seminar is free for parents and their high school student -- the only requirement is that the student must have attended one of Mary Ann's workshops or taken a one-hour private lesson with Mary Ann. The seminar is presented as a public service by Broadway Training Intensive and Hodgson Studio of Music & Drama -- our goal is to help high school students and their parents be aware of the college audition process for musical theatre, acting, and commercial music. You'll learn about degree types, how to determine which programs are likely to be the best fit for you, the application process, the difference between auditioning on campus and at College Unified Auditions, what to prepare for auditions, and, most importantly, "Is a career in theatre or music what I really want?" This seminar will meet Friday 3/9/18 from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
Private Voice Lessons with Mary Ann
This is an amazing opportunity to work with one of the top vocal coaches in the country! There are only two spots available. Lessons with Mary Ann Kehler are $55 for 30 minutes or $110 for 1 hour.
Mary Ann Kehler is a best-selling author whose work on training performing artists — both musical theatre and contemporary music — was featured in Success Mastery with Jack Canfield. She is a musical theatre director with 65 shows to her credit and is Executive Producer of Broadway Training Intensive. Mary Ann is a college audition coach whose students are in top colleges and conservatories all over the country, and is co-author of a book on auditioning for college programs. She successfully trains singers ranging from working professionals to those other teachers have labeled “tone deaf.” Her students include musical theatre professionals, pop recording artists, lead singers for rock and R&B bands, classical choral soloists, music educators, voice teachers, worship leaders, and singer/songwriters. Mary Ann is serving a three-year term as President of International Voice Teachers of Mix and is a mentor for other teachers in that organization. Her studio is in the Denver Technological Center; she teaches worldwide via internet and has presented at four international voice conferences recently, in Austria, Poland and the U.S. She is happy to be traveling the world, training teachers and singers and looks forward to teaching master classes in Verona, Italy in April, 2018.
